Sydfynske A/S operates the ferry service between Bøjden on the south coast of Funen and Fynshav on the island of Als on a five-year contract with the Danish Transport Authority. The contract became effective in May 2008 and expires by the end of April 2013.
The contract includes operation with a conventional ferry.
The contract is a net-cost-contract, allowing the operator to keep the ticket-revenues. The Danish Transport Authority pays approximately DKK 6.5 mills. in annual contractual payments.
