Nordic Ferry Services A/S operates the ferry service between Kolby Kås on Samsø and Kalundborg on Zealand on a five-year contract with the Danish Transport Authority. The contract became effective in October 2008 and expires by the end of September 2013.
The contract includes operation with a conventional ferry.
The contract is a net-cost-contract, allowing the operator to keep the ticket revenues. The Danish Transport Authority pays approximately DKK 8 mills. in annual contractual payments.
