5 November 2003 the Danish Government (the Liberals and the Conservative Party), the Danish People's Party, the Social-Liberal Party and the Christian Democrats entered into a traffic agreement.
In continuation of the Traffic Agreement the conciliation circle has decided that the final part of the agreement regarding tendering of the passenger rail service shall be implemented through the following tender by the Danish Transport Authority:
- Passenger rail service on the section between Odense-Svendborg and the section between Odense-Fredericia.
The deadlline for the procurement procedures is the end of 2012.
