The Danish Air Navigation Act
The Danish aviation legislation is based on the Danish Air Navigation Act that provides the framework of the regulation of civil aviation in Denmark.
The Act authorises the Minister of Transport and Building to lay down specified regulations for civil aviation and this authority has been delegated to the Danish Transport and Construction Agency, cf. Order on delegation of authorities to the Danish Transport and Construction Agency (the Delegation Order).
The Danish Transport Authority issues "Regulations for Civil Aviation (BL) and Orders. The regulations are divided into 11 series that cover the different flight safety aspects of the complete air transportation system.
From the 1. of july 2013 a change in the Danish Air Navigation Act is introduced.
This legal change (Act No. 655 of 12 June 2013) is especially about the Safety contribution duty of which the aviation firms pay DKK 6.00 for each carried passenger.

The aviation legislation in Denmark is largely based on standards that have been adopted within the international aviation organisations.
The standards are established globally within the UN international aviation organisation ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation).
In Europe it is the EU agency EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) that are responsible for the work with harmonising the flight safety rules and standards.
It is the task of the EASA to transform the existing JAR rules (Joint Aviation Requirements), adopted in the JAA, into EU Regulations which will become directly binding on the citizens of the EU member states. Furthermore the EASA shall prepare rules in the areas that are not yet covered by JAR rules.
Furthermore the European organisation EUROCONTROL is preparing harmonised standards for the use of the European airspace, and also these joint standards are continuously being incorporated in the Danish regulations.
