Road Safety Agency

The Road Safety Agency is part of the Transport, Construction and Housing Authority. The Agency draws up rules for road vehicles, issues type approvals and undertakes duties concerning regulation, approval and inspection related to road transport, including with regard to operators within bus services, freight haulage, taxi services and vehicle inspection/testing, plus inspection of resting periods for heavy goods vehicles. The Agency also undertakes regulation of the environmental impact of light and heavy goods vehicles. Finally, it has regulatory duties in relation driving licences.
